Simple Birthday Cards using Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper

Welcome to Stampin' Jenny's Weekend Blog

Today I have made a set of Birthday Cards using the Eastern Palace Designer Series paper (DSP) from the current annual catalogue.

I plan on actually USING more DSP in the future as I tend to buy it, love it and hoard it!

I have used In Colour card and co-ordinated it with the DSP - one in Lemon Lime Twist

One in Dapper Denim

and one in Fresh Fig

I hope you like these simple cards and have a go at making them

You are currently visiting my blog, Jenny Dowding, and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Boxes and Bags.
I have made an Easter basket.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

The Team have worked really hard on our Blog Hop to bring you a variety of creativity and inspiration. Make sure you click the next name on the list to carry on through the Hop.

This Easter Basket is very simple to make and would be a fun way to get your children and grandkids involved.

Cut a 6" x6" square of card and score it at 2" and 4"on both sides.

Cut up to the 2" line on both sides as shown.

Fold the triangular piece up and then fold in alternate narrow pieces, starting with the middle ones.

Staple it into place and trim off the top of the triangle.

Cut a 6" x 1/2" strip for the handle and 2 x 1" circles to cover all the joins
Attach the handle with glue and add the 1" circle over the top of the joins.

Add any decoration that you like and fill with sweets or chocolate eggs.

I hope you have a go at making these really simple little baskets

Playing with the new Brusho,

Hi Stampers

Over this weekend I have been playing with the new to Stampin'Up! Brusho Crystal Watercolour paints.

The Brusho Crystals available from Stampin'Up! are a set of 5 colours; Brilliant Red, Moss Green, Prussian Blue, Gamboge (orange) and Yellow. The crystals activate when they are mixed with water and are VERY concentrated, so you will only need to use teeny, tiny amounts of crystals to get an explosion of colour. We suggest that you dont take the lids off, but instead poke a hole in the top of the lid and then block it off with a tack as I have done here.

It is easy to mix colours together to get a new colour as I have done to get the purple on the top right hand side.

Below are the cards that I have produced using the Brusho Crystals. At first I did not really like what effects I was getting, but as I put together the cards, I was hooked. I have used watercolour paper above, but you can use normal cardstock and I am off to try shimmer paper as I am told that it works beautifully.

Below I have added the link to a video made by Stampin'Up! for you to see. There are also many more YouTube videos online to look at

If you would like to purchase the Brusho Crystals, follow the "Shop Now" link at the top of this page to purchase from my shop.

I would love to hear what you think of these experiments and which card you like the best.
